When working on product strategy or growth experiments, you face many options. Which idea should you try first? Which are worth your time? At Axiacore, we use the ICE method. It prioritizes tactics using three criteria:

  • Impact
  • Confidence
  • Ease

Each idea is scored on a scale of 1 to 10 in each category, and the sum determines its ICE score. The higher the score, the more likely it is to be worth doing first.

Here's how each factor works:

  • Impact is the potential business value. High means it's significant, low means less.
  • Confidence is how sure you are the idea will work, based on data or experience.
  • Ease is how simple it is to implement. Faster, simpler ideas rate higher.

Example: Improving Your Social Media Presence

1. Post customer testimonials as reels

  • Impact: 7
  • Confidence: 8
  • Ease: 9
  • ICE Score = (7 + 8 + 9) = 24

2. Launch a weekly industry insights thread

  • Impact: 1
  • Confidence: 4
  • Ease: 7
  • ICE Score = 12

3. Hire an influencer to promote your product

  • Impact: 9
  • Confidence: 5
  • Ease: 3
  • ICE Score = 17

Pick the highest ICE score. Here, the first idea is best. It's easy to execute, and you can be confident in the results. Start there.

Why It Works

The ICE method stops decision paralysis. Instead of debating or guessing, use a quick, consistent framework. Apply it in marketing, product, operations, and internal initiatives.

At Axiacore, ICE lets us move fast, test ideas, and focus on value. If you're building or growing a product, ICE helps you do the same
