Thoughts on Financial Freedom

CEOWhy do we care so much about money when the real issue is how we approach it?
When you think about it, it’s never enough. The more you make, the more you spend. That’s the trap.
What’s interesting is what happens when you shift your focus. Instead of obsessing over income, which is often hard to control, look at your expenses. That’s where you have real influence. You can cut, pause, or reduce your spending. Income? Not always in your hands.
Everyone who’s ever gotten a raise knows the feeling: a small high that lasts a few days, maybe a week. Then it fades. Before long, you're back to worrying about money again.
The same happens in reverse. People who lose their jobs panic for a few days. But then something unique happens: they adapt. Life moves on, even without the paycheck.
That’s why passive income is so easy to sell. It promises freedom. All the money you want, without doing a thing.
But here’s the catch.
Let’s say you won the passive income lottery. Each month, money comes into your account without effort. Sounds like a dream come true, right?
Fast-forward six months.
Do you think you'll stop thinking about money then? I doubt it. You’ll probably feel the same urge: “It’s not enough.” Because the problem isn’t the number, it’s the mindset. When you’ve spent your life thinking about money as a source of stress, no amount will feel like enough. That’s true whether you earn $3,000 or $30,000 a month.
It’s like hunting. The joy, the purpose, the energy—it’s in the pursuit. Not the kill. After the kill, the thrill disappears. And what do you do? You start thinking about the next hunt. That’s true life purpose.
Money works the same way.
Instead of chasing financial freedom as a final kill, go after better tools, sharper skills, and more people to learn from. That’s where fulfillment comes from.
The idea of “financial freedom” as a way of life, where you get money and do nothing? That’s just laziness in disguise. You’re meant for more than that. You’re meant to build, help, grow, and create.
Live with purpose. The rest takes care of itself.
