Prerendering
This is the way to anticipate the actions of the user, it creates the feeling of speed to the user, because it makes the action before the user wanted to do.
You can see this concept apply in instagram; the moment you pick a photo to share, it start to upload it. This means that while you write some cool text or hashtag to share with the photo, the app is already uploading the photo, and when you are ready to confirm; instagram already upload the photo and the magic happens.
Try undos
This concept respects the original intent of the user : the action is permitted and happens the way it was planned.
Alerts or pop-up confirmation will suggest to the user that he or she does not know what they want to ask all the time; this is a way to avoid human error. But it is boring when you have to make repeated actions thats the user must confirm the action constantly .
A different way to approach this problem is to assume that the action the user want to make is intended and isn't by accident ; then consider giving an action to undo rather than confirmed all times the action.
Rule of three
When you offer products or services try to limited only to three options . If you only have one option is a way to saying i don’t have more to offer. When you have two options is like saying that one is better than another and everyone wants to get the best . When you have three options, you’re saying that no matter what you choose all are equally good, the only thing different are the features. And when you have four or more options the user will not know which certainty which to choose; remember that users do not really know what they want.
Finally for the three options showing recommends one , this helps the user what the product or service recommended by the owner and reduces the uncertainty of making a good decision.
