Why did we invest in Frutapp
Camilo Nova
CEOAt Axiacore we love to work with Startups, we have done it so many times, and every time we learn and get excited about new ideas changing the world.
"Put your money were your mouth is" goes the saying. We talked a lot how badly we want to improve things in our daily life, complaining every day, but doing nothing about it. After a while we realized that if we wanted to stop complaining we should act and do something about it.
Later on our Cobuild program was born.
Starting in 2013 we decided, as a company, to invest knowledge, time and money once a year. We wanted to pick a good idea with exceptional founders to partner with. Being the CTO and co-founder for this startup we could accelerate its growth and eventually making something we would be proud of. Since we have limited resources, like time, money and energy. It was decided to limit our yearly investment to 100k. This makes us hustle to take the most out of it so we don't waste an opportunity to create something that matters.
Each investment had a learning curve, investing is not easy by any mean, is hard, and even if you do the math, pick the right founders and go for a good idea, and still success is not guaranteed. We can talk about it later in detail, but this whole process made us learn and improve our own work in ways we couldn't imagine back in 2013.
2016 is a very special year, we reviewed 4 startups at the first quarter of the year and we choose the one we think it will make the most impact on our daily lives.
Frutapp delivers healthy food wherever you are. With unique ingredients and recipes we can improve people lives by making easier the access to great food.
Health issues related to food consumption will be one of the top 3 death reasons in the next 30 years. This is going to be a big space and we wanted to be a part of the solution. We have a great team, strong vision and the best chefs working alongside with us to change our future.
Try today one our Parfaits or Salads. You will love them.
