Why should you define a digital strategy for your business projects?

Public Relations SpecialistWe have all ever thought about what our dream house should look like. We search and research modern designs to inspire us and imagine how we could decorate its spaces. When we have the opportunity, after acquiring land or a lot, we think of two options: Try to do the design ourselves or go in search of someone who will make our dream come true.
If we choose the second option, almost as the general rule we deliver in advance to the architect or designer reference photographs. At this moment, we say to them: “I want my house like this”. However, we omit that the expert must study whether the land or the structure allows us to build the property as requested.
Despite this, it may happen that after conducting a soil study, quoting different materials and processes, the architect proposes a plan that the client often does not understand or share. The complexity is so much that we dismissed the professional's concept, and we built without considering the foundations, plans, pipes, materials, etc.
The truth is that the consequences of building it the way you want it will be seen over the years. Whether it is an earthquake, strong wind, or even the rainy season, it could cause that dream house to fall, and everything that was once thought of as "the ideal home" becomes just rubble.
The situation is no different when we are going to execute a digital project. If we do not know the user's pain points, the market projections, and digital trends that will influence consumer behavior, the investment and the objective may be lost.
Have the floor plans before building a house
According to NoSQL Couchbase, 9 out of 10 digital projects fail. This situation occurs because it is not given the importance and value of the project's floor plan. To Camilo Nova, CEO of Axiacore, an expert technology company in strategy, design, and development of digital products, “We have understood that by fulfilling our purpose of building reliable technology, we are also creating “the house of dreams” for our clients. So the creation process and the definition of the strategy we use are the pillars with which we support lasting results over time”.
It is common for entrepreneurs and managers to develop ideas of what they would like to have, just like when we collect all the references for our ideal house. "When we do digital product consulting, we take our backhoe and go deep to understand the real needs of the users and the problems that a digital product could solve," added Nova.
It is different when we create an online business from an offline one. So even though we are married to ideas of how we want our house, many times in strategy study, there are unthinkable needs and fundamental aspects to build the house structure. It is also essential that when the project plans are made, we investigate what processes are in the market to have a better result.
In addition, it is fundamental to identify where the pipe is going to pass, the airflow, how we isolate the sounds, or if we want a house with a cold or hot environment. Thus, as an architect makes sure to deliver a safe property, the digital strategist will ensure that his digital project is attractive, functional, and responds to any cyber threat.
Finally, we need to understand that we must invest resources and time in the first stage of creating a digital product. The consequences of not doing it will be in the low impact and performance of the solution, as is the case for thousands of projects that companies release without success every year.
